Three young Greenville pediatricians and their families are setting out to do what most modern day physicians would consider crazy—starting a new pediatric practice on their own.  The majority of practices in the Upstate are hospital owned.  Parkside Pediatrics, however, will be 100% privately owned and operated—a big risk for doctors in today’s medical socioeconomic climate.  But the doctors of Parkside Pediatrics, with their dream to provide a higher level of pediatric care to the Upstate community, believe that this is a risk worth taking.

Parkside Pediatrics aims to combine high tech medical care with old fashioned bedside manner.  Their state of the art pediatric medical center is unlike any in the Upstate.  Parents will appreciate the convenience of scheduling appointments online, web-based prescription refills, and online access to their child’s medical information such as immunizations or growth records.  Other highlights include a private lactation center, and separate waiting rooms for newborns, well-children, sick-children, and even a teen waiting area—complete with iPod listening stations.  To help save parents time, prescriptions will be electronically sent to the pharmacy and ready for pick up when the parents arrive.
